OneWeek Youth Camps Report PDF Print E-mail

Youth camps in the Heartland were great this year. Our students really enjoyed the improvements and new recreation venues at the Retreat Center. However the greatest part of our camps is always the move of God among teens. In our Omega camp (ages 15-18) we had 2 salvations and 7 filled with the Holy Spirit. In the Alpha camp (ages 12-15) we saw 9 students get saved and 6 get filled with the Holy Spirit. 5 students at Omega and 2 at Alpha felt a call into ministry during the camp. During the youth group night, Bishop Tunstall asked for a show of hands of those who are called into ministry, and there were 14 students present who feel that call!

We had great worship with Revival Generation, and our speakers — Nic Callaway at Omega and Marcus Brown at Alpha — ministered with a powerful anointing. Our altars were filled for extended periods of time as young people did business with God.

Please do everything in your power to help your youth groups attend camps and conferences. Youth Quest is coming up in Orlando, Florida in July, and we are excited to have a chance to attend the 2nd annual Altitude Conference in Winter Park, Colorado January 2011.

Here are videos from the camps. You can also download the high res versions: icon Camp Files.

We are excited about our two kids' camps in the Heartland this year. Children's Directors Roger and Debbie Mandrell and their team always do a phenomenal job. Bishop Tunstall and the conference executive council have made sure that the campgrounds are better than ever. The speaker is a wild man. The band is incredible. All we need is you!

What If?Hey, everyone! Hope you've had an great year since our last camp experience- OneWeek Elevate^100 [which was awesome]! This year's camp is just around the corner and we're planning on it being even better! The worship is being led by Revival Generation at both camps, comprised of Aaron Palacios and several of SCU's OneVoice alums. Marcus Brown is speaking at OneWeek Alpha. He was the speaker at this year's Altitude ski trip, and it was incredible! Our theme this year is "What If....?" You can go anywhere with this open-ended question, as you probably noticed if you received the postcard we sent out to advertise. We want to focus on the most important question of all: What if I gave my all to Christ and never looked back? Join us as we have an awesome week of friends, fun, and a time to draw closer to God. Be sure to get in your application and $40 deposit by May 12 to get the Early Bird rate of $110! Also, if you're age 20 or older and would like to apply for an intern or staff position, applications are available at hccem.org- please get them in ASAP!
